The Tacoma Sister Cities Global Chocolate Film Festival runs March 5–15, featuring an inspiring lineup of short films, documentaries, and full-length features from around the world. Screenings and events will take place at Slavonian Hall, The Grand Cinema, the Blue Mouse, and the Asia Pacific Cultural Center, creating a citywide celebration of film, culture, and chocolate.
At the heart of the festival is the Global Chocolate Academy, a series of documentaries, expert presentations, and discussions exploring the urgent challenges facing the world’s chocolate supply. Topics include climate change, child labor, sustainable cocoa production, real-time challenges in chocolate-producing Sister Cities, and emerging micro-economic chocolate enterprises. The Academy also features a signature exhibition, Global Chocolate: From Sacred Elixir to Agro-forestry, highlighting agro-forestry as a critical path forward for preserving the future of chocolate.
The festival is free of charge for all K–12 students and college attendees, ensuring access to education, global perspectives, and creative storytelling.
By becoming a sponsor, you help spotlight critical global issues while aligning your organization with a universal and joyful theme—the love of chocolate—and with education, sustainability, and international connection.
