Sister City Since 2017

  • Planning meetings took place in November 2016. Two members of Formation Committee visited Mayor in Bravory and exchanged ideas about forming a Sister City.

Monthly follow-up meetings occurred in March, April, and May 2017. Application to create a sister city was presented to the Tacoma Sister Cities Committee at their meeting on July 26th, 2017.

The proposal was presented to the Economic Development Committee of City of Tacoma in July 2017 and was approved by the City Council in August 2017.

Since then, through community event, we further promote interaction between Slavic and Ukrainian members through delegation visits, annual school auctions, walk/run for youth events, and more recently the purchase of a Tacoma ambulance for Brovary.
