Opera Selecta Film Showing

Join us for an exciting evening of the 2023 Croatian film, Opera Selecta, at The Grand Cinema.
This is an inspirational film about a young boy in a small medieval village on the Adriatic Sea. He’s 17. He has an idea. He asks his piano teacher if she thinks it’s possible. She answers, “Why not?” And that’s the beginning of the story of Opera Selecta, a musical Summer Festival in Trogir, Croatia, that is becoming world famous. And it’s the story of bringing together a community to make a dream come true! From Trogir to Tacoma –making dreams come true! This event promises to be a treat for all. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to experience the heart-warming story of a young man’s vision come to fruition. Mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable showing of this spectacular film! Lana Pavic, television producer and Commentator, political theorist and adviser to the Mayor of Split, Croatia, produced the film in 2023. She will join us at the Screening to answer any questions.
Event Details: The film is free; but you must Register on Eventbrite. It is a gift to Tacoma Creates and all Tacoma Arts groups from Tacoma Sister Cities and its newest Sister City, Split, Croatia.
